This tree reminded me of the crystal entity from the Star Trek NG.  It isn’t a very good picture but I liked it.

Mushrooms…part ll

We were visiting a friend one day and she was showing us the mushrooms that grow in her front flower bed.

The one picture doesn’t look like a mushroom, but I promise it is….It resembles something else and I will leave that to your imagination.

These are mushrooms from Dr. Pepper’s flower bed…..:)

Mushrooms…..

We have a rather odd crop of mushrooms that grow in our backyard.

I believe they are called Jack O’Lantern mushrooms. They are a pretty orange against the green background.

Butterflies……

Since spring has arrived…I thought some butterfly pictures would be nice…..

This is the bush we have in front of our house….Buddleia ‘Black Knight’.

We actually have two of these bushes….one in front of the living room window and one by the front steps….My husband loves this. In the spring and all thru the summer it is like walking thru a cloud of butterflies. I like to sit in the living room and watch the butterflies and hummingbirds flit from branch to branch.

This is the one bush my husband can’t kill….He who professes to having a black thumb and could kill a plastic plant….this thing is like a weed due to the zone we live in. If we don’t keep it cut back it grows taller than the house.

The butterflies are nice but the scent is wonderful….my favorite flowers are lilacs and lily of the valley…..the Buddleia reminds me of the lilac. They are very hardy and hard to kill….I strongly suggest that every yard should have one and it should be in front of a window……

Oh….and make sure the camera is sitting close by at all times.
